Editorial Review
This space-themed strategy game for one player comes in a square, gray storage box with a playing surface that's covered by a grid of squares with protruding pegs. The set includes one red space explorer and five brightly colored "helper-bots" (tiny plastic figures that fit on the pegs to form playing pieces). To start the game, there are 40 challenge cards with different configurations of the six playing pieces. (The solution to each configuration is on the back of the card.) The goal is to move the space explorer figure to the center peg, but movements can be made only in certain ways, as in a chess game. Complete instructions are included, along with a "pre-flight training session" that teaches the maneuvers. This puzzle would be an excellent choice for gifted younger children or any elementary school child who enjoys strategy games. The small size of the game also makes it a natural choice for a long car ride or a plane trip. --Marcie Bovetz
