Little Madeline has been beloved by generations of children since her story was first published in 1939 by Ludwig Bemelmans. The 8-inch posable Madeline doll is now a favorite with little girls who enjoy acting out Madeline's adventures. This fully jointed doll has a sweetly mischievous smile and thick, silky red hair that's tied on one side with a chic black bow. She even sports a tiny appendix scar on her tummy, just like the book character. Madeline is properly dressed for a walk in a Parisian park, wearing her favorite blue coat with the wide collar, and her famous yellow felt picture hat, trimmed with a black satin ribbon. Underneath her coat, Madeline wears a red plaid dress and white undies. Her outfit is completed with proper white gloves, white cotton socks, and black Mary Jane shoes.
